Huachuca Lodge No. 53 Recognized for Supporting Eagle Scout Project
Huachuca Lodge No. 53 was honored to receive a plaque recognizing the Lodge's support of Mr. Hunter Millane's Eagle Scout Service Project, a meaningful tribute to the men and women who have served our nation.
As part of his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Millane designed and installed a commemorative plaque at the base of the flagpole in the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista. The plaque explains the meaning behind each of the thirteen folds of the United States flag during a military funeral, helping visitors better understand the symbolism and respect shown as our nation's flag is presented to the family of a fallen service member.
Recognizing the importance of preserving and sharing this tradition, Huachuca Lodge No. 53 was proud to help support the project. The Lodge's contribution assisted Mr. Millane in completing a project that will educate and inspire visitors to the cemetery for years to come.
