Affiliating with Huachuca Lodge No. 53

Whether you are relocating to Southern Arizona, returning home, or simply looking for a Lodge where you can continue your Masonic journey, we welcome the opportunity to get to know you. We encourage visiting Brothers to join us for our stated meetings, fellowship dinners, degree work, and special events. Taking the time to become acquainted with the members allows you to experience the culture of our Lodge while giving our Brothers the opportunity to get to know you as well.
Under the Arizona Masonic Constitution (AMC), a Brother wishing to affiliate with Huachuca Lodge No. 53 must be active in the Lodge for a minimum of six months before petitioning for membership, unless he already knows a member of the Lodge who can personally vouch for him. During this time, we encourage you to attend our meetings and dinners regularly so that meaningful friendships and Masonic relationships can develop naturally.
The Arizona Masonic Constitution also requires that a Brother be a resident of Arizona for at least six months before submitting a petition for affiliation (See AMC 5-2.1).
When you are ready to petition, you will need the signatures of two Master Masons recommending your membership. At least one of those recommenders must be a member of Huachuca Lodge No. 53. This recommendation process helps ensure that both the petitioner and the Lodge have had sufficient opportunity to become acquainted before membership is considered.
After your petition has been completed and signed, it should be submitted to the Lodge Secretary along with the required prorated dues and applicable fees. Because the amount due varies depending on the time of year, please contact the Lodge Secretary before submitting your petition so the correct amount can be calculated. For Brothers affiliating from outside the State of Arizona, the Grand Lodge of Arizona requires an additional $60 affiliation fee (See AMC 7-1.2). This fee is distributed as follows:
• $50 – Grand Lodge of Arizona General Fund
• $5 – Masonic Charities of Arizona
• $5 – Arizona Masonic Foundation for Children
Please note that this additional $60 fee is only required of non-Arizona Masons. Arizona Masons have already paid this amount as part of the candidate fee submitted with their original petition for membership.
