Honor Your Commitments
As you progress through the three degrees, you will take solemn obligations. Freemasons are expected to honor those obligations and abide by the Arizona Masonic Constitution and the bylaws of their Lodge.
Be an Active Member
Membership is more than holding a dues card. We encourage every Brother to attend meetings, degrees, fellowship dinners, and Lodge activities whenever possible.
Huachuca Lodge No. 53 holds its stated meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM, with dinner beforehand. Degree work is also held on Wednesdays, so active members generally attend two or three Wednesdays each month.
Financial Responsibilities
Like any organization, Freemasonry has costs associated with membership.
• Candidate Fee – Paid before joining and covers your registration with Grand Lodge and materials presented during your degrees.
• Annual Dues – Required after becoming a Master Mason. Dues support Lodge operations, charitable work, building maintenance, and Grand Lodge Per Capita.
• Charitable Giving – Members are often invited to support charitable projects through donations or volunteer service. Every contribution should always be within your personal means.
Opportunities to Serve
After becoming a Master Mason, you may be invited to:
• Serve as a Lodge Officer.
• Participate in degree work for new candidates.
• Eventually serve at the Grand Lodge (State) level if you choose.
Keep Your Information Current
Members are responsible for keeping the Lodge Secretary informed of any changes to their contact information so they continue receiving official Lodge communications and their annual dues card.
