Huachuca Lodge No. 53 answers the call for support from Berean Academy 6th Grade Class
In a heartwarming display of community support and educational outreach, Huachuca Lodge No. 53 joined hands with the local bookstore, Get Lit. Books, to present an invaluable gift to the 6th-grade class at Berean Academy. The lodge's commitment to education and empowerment was vividly demonstrated through this generous donation of dictionaries.
On 24 May, the members of Huachuca Lodge No. 53, received a request for support from a parent of one of the 6th Graders from Berean Academy, asking for 36 dictionaries for her daughter’s class.
Bro. Brian Strecker, the Secretary of Huachuca Lodge No. 53, expressed his delight in being able to contribute to the students' educational journey. "We believe that a strong foundation in language is essential for academic success. Providing these dictionaries is a small yet meaningful way for us to support the bright minds at Berean Academy," he stated.
Ms. Roxanna McGinnis, the owner of Get Lit. Books, a beloved local bookstore known for its commitment to promoting literacy, played a pivotal role in this initiative. Their partnership with the lodge underscores the power of collaboration within our community. With their help we were able to donate a total of 42 dictionaries to the 6th grade class.
The event served as a testament to the lodge's ongoing commitment to education and community enrichment. By fostering a culture of learning, Huachuca Lodge No. 53 continues to be a beacon of inspiration for the Sierra Vista community.
